OC Bus riders should check their schedules before Sunday, August 9, when route and timetable changes take effect across the system.
The Orange County Transportation Authority says the updates are designed to improve service reliability, coordinate some trips with school schedules and improve on-time performance. Four routes are receiving notable alignment changes:
Route 30: A new all-day alignment will serve Los Cerritos Center using Gridley Road, Artesia Boulevard and Studebaker Road. OCTA is also adding a westbound stop on Artesia, just beyond Alora Avenue.
Route 57: The route’s shorter alignment will extend from State College Boulevard and Orangethorpe Avenue to Cal State Fullerton every day.
Route 64: Service will be realigned from Westminster Mall to Goldenwest Transportation Center using Bolsa Avenue, Goldenwest Street, McFadden Avenue and Gothard Street.
Route 86: Weekday service will add an alignment serving Families Forward at 8 Thomas in Irvine.
OCTA is also making timetable adjustments on Routes 1, 29, 30, 35, 38, 43, 47, 50, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 60, 64, 83, 86, 89, 123, 529 and 543.
Because even a small timetable change can affect a transfer or morning arrival, riders should review their route before traveling on or after August 9. Updated maps and times are available through OCTA’s service-change page and August 2026 Digital Bus Book.
Riders can also plan a trip with OCTA’s online Trip Planner or call OC Bus Information at 714-636-7433.
