🏄 Local News You Should Know
Delta brings back nonstop John Wayne (SNA) to JFK (starting May 7)
Orange County travelers, this is a big convenience win: Delta is bringing back nonstop flights from John Wayne Airport to New York City (JFK) starting May 7. It’ll run daily except Saturdays, meaning no LAX detour and no connection flights. Even better, Delta One with flat-bed seats is available on this route for the first time, operated on a Boeing 757 with Delta One, Comfort, and Main Cabin options.
Katella Commons is coming to OCVibe (targeted for 2027)
OCVibe’s massive Anaheim development just revealed the official name of its future market hall: Katella Commons, a 50,000-square-foot, two-story dining and drink pavilion designed to be the social hub of the district. The concept includes 21 chef-driven kitchens plus multiple bar and lounge spaces meant to feel distinct from one another, not like a copy-paste food court. Phase one is expected to be completed in early 2027, and the project is being built with the goal of becoming a true year-round destination for locals and visitors.
Ketchum-Libolt Park officially breaks ground in Costa Mesa
Construction is officially underway at Ketchum-Libolt Park, a long-awaited project shaped by community input and supported by a $1.2M budget allocation. The park honors Officers James “Dave” Ketchum and John “Mike” Libolt, the only Costa Mesa Police officers to lose their lives in the line of duty. More updates are expected as work continues, but this marks a meaningful milestone for a project with deep community significance.

Here’s an un-boring way to invest that billionaires have quietly leveraged for decades
If you have enough money that you think about buckets for your capital…
Ever invest in something you know will have low returns—just for the sake of diversifying?
CDs… Bonds… REITs… :(
Sure, these “boring” investments have some merits. But you probably overlooked one historically exclusive asset class:
It’s been famously leveraged by billionaires like Bezos and Gates, but just never been widely accessible until now.
It outpaced the S&P 500 (!) overall WITH low correlation to stocks, 1995 to 2025.*
It’s not private equity or real estate. Surprisingly, it’s postwar and contemporary art.
And since 2019, over 70,000 people have started investing in SHARES of artworks featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso through a platform called Masterworks.
23 exits to date
$1,245,000,000+ invested
Annualized net returns like 17.6%, 17.8%, and 21.5%

Investing involves risk. Past performance not indicative of future returns. Reg A disclosures at masterworks.com/cd
